I need to make/get some things clear.

(No offens to the players or staff members using the tool.)

I think the rating tool just gets randomly used.
A few examples;

As for commands, I think people should be + rated if they actually made something new and if it really helps people.
Its weird that people get a + for a command that already has been posted once. I  don't think its for helping someone because thats what almost everybody does here.

Another weird thing as for helping people using a guide that already was released in a post put you just redirect the person.
Why would you be - rated for that? It almost feels like making up rules out of nowhere.

I know people can be annoying sometimes, I know I ca be annoying sometimes but if you hate me please tell me with a good reason.

Well the rules doesn't say I can't state my opinion on this so here I go.

Sometimes I do think, why is the -1 needed in this case?

I've been watching my post very carefully, and sometimes I don't even post because im thinking that I'd get a -.

Like Ananas said, I do think he's right about the thing that only people that have been very helpfull or people that contributed should gain a +.

Other then that, I don't really see any warning (Well not much), which in my opinion can't hurt.

It is a lot easier to find retards who need to be told off here than trying to decide who and who doesn't deserve praise. We're basically desperate for anything to give a positive rating to.

I think -s are used unnesscary 24/7 It's used to much when not needed.

Wtf is with this Kenibo or w.e his name is lol, He doesn't deserve moderator... Ananas Is a great watch dog, I love him, the HELP and support he gives to people, it's great.

I think the only reason Kenibo got mod was due to him owning Kalandra Support, That has got to be the only reason as he never helps anyone on here, That +4 is only due to his small fixes.

Kenobi13 is a good moderator, but i feel they should demote Plasmastar and promote Ananas.

Ananas does more for this site than Plas will ever do.

He probably would be, but only IRC users are really eligible, and he left.

Wasn't he a moderator in the first place but got demoted because he left?

No, he was a "watchdog", AKA, completely useless rank that I decided didn't need to exist. :P

Yeah, I was wondering why everyone was demoted "watchdog" lol... But if it was usless then it doesn't really matter.

I can agree with Ananas on this one. "+" ratings should be given for things that aren't just rehashes of previous code releases. For instance, somewhere shortly after EOSERV had characters on a map I had a silly copycat command. This command allowed me to change my doll to any existing player's doll, given they were online. Ananas was inspired enough to code this on his own and release to the community. Recently there was a gender command release... which was a single part of the copycat command. Other instances of this might include variations such as the release of the stat refresh function and update/add stat commands. Anytime a function is released anyone with a clue could code a command to link it. In other words, character sit/stand already exists, to make a command that calls that function is redundant. I would almost call fishing/harvesting/mining/hold ctrl next to tilespec X redundant as well if there wasn't actually some sort of system created to contain odds/rewards. An idea there is to limit that tilespec to a # per day of items that can be collected. A tree only has so many berries, right?

Anyway, you can see a bit of the difference there. Original work that the community could benefit from should be "+", not $callfunction command or repeats.

Wrong. First of all, it's Kenobi13. Second.. he's not the "owner" of kalandra support. It was actually created by Corky(Soulstealer).

As for this post in general... it's too hard to keep track of what codes had been posted prior.
If the points thing were to ever be fair on the + side, there would have to be a system that saved why they were +'d, and have to be looked over every time to make sure it had not already been credited.

That sounds like a pretty big pain in the ass to me...
