Please never make a fake Sausage ID.

Sneaky Delta: "The account and all services were suspended the entire time we waited for more ID" - Down-playing the fact it was under someone else's control for over a day while vult-r's software and the entire database was leaked.

Also, we do have a couple of BuyVM customers here somewhere... "just players of the game" isn't entirely true.

Edit: Seems a bunch of new posts made on the WHT thread today were deleted in the last few hours.

The last deleted post is pretty hilarious, same as the disputes from I'm assuming the company owner itself; pretty good stuff.

That sure boils my blood, the fact knowing that they were wrong, but they just don't want to admit it cause it will mean they will have to just give up on their own company. Such security flaws are extreme.

What's even more sickening is that they've deleted the forum posts as if "Hey, this makes sense, but lets not admit to it."
Which I think shows the "neutral" position the forum is in.

I don't blame the moderators for just getting rid of a bunch of newly created accounts bringing up a year old thread when they have no involvement in the case at all.

It's still shitty that Delta never just apologized though. It's also a shame Vult didn't actually sue. It might be that Vult was sharing the account with other people, but they still got fooled by a shitty fake ID.

FWIW: After doing some investigating on the list of IP addresses Delta posted that supposedly accessed the account, only two matched registration details of any EO accounts from the DB dump or EOSERV forums: An NL IP that created a couple of vult-r brand testing accounts, and Andrewbob's. One of them might match some random account called "hax my dds" made in Oct 2011, but that seems like it could just be coincidental, Delta blocked out the last octet of the IP.

If he was sharing his account with these strange IPs that never registered an account on EO, it's just as likely it just Vult logging in from other countries, or that Delta planted them there.

It is no surprise that Vult-r raged at him/her, just thought I would open the wound a little. xD

Misca posted: (15th Jun 2016, 03:05 am)

But back to my one question, if Vult kept saying that his business was ruined, how much was he possibly making off a dead game? I honestly can't see the page view ads generating him that much money, as I doubt the average person was even visiting the endless-online.com site more than once a month. (And by average person, I mean the 50-100 people left in the community who play the game).

- $ 1,272 / year if you believe worthofweb, which is why BUYVM should have just paid him out in full and accepted the small liability, over a large potential loss in new clients due to a terrible reputation for security etc...

I'm not sure how much he could sue for damages for though, that would be an item for a court / lawyers to discuss, they would base this likely on actual losses that can be calculated with an attached monetary value, if that makes sense. So very little actual physical loss or revenue loss, however, what he could claim for the loss of secured data, and / or software is a whole other matter, perhaps also failure to provide adequate (any) remedy, depending on the laws in the country that it were to go to court in etc.

On a further note, Vult-r being based in NL (I assume?), I highly doubt he would be willing to travel to the country that the host is based in, nor would he wish to pay for an attorney / lawyer to do so, nor will they come to him (extradite) etc. So... BUYVM know this for well, as does Vult-r.

Street justice? While no actual remedy will likely ever be provided by BUYVM, their name shall forever be sullied with the callous and negligent death of a game that allegedly 100,000+ people played, and likely enjoyed, which could be a whole heap of sullying if those people so wanted.
