Excuse the stupidity but, what is DDos?
DDoS stands for Distributed Denial of Service. Basically it's when someone sends so many packets at once that your connections shut down so that the system can sort them out, which can take anywhere from a few seconds to a few days. Up until now no server has really had this happen, the worst
thathappens would be someone using Plasma's old portclog.exe to block connections, and even that is very weak for DDoS. After we confronted the people in question and banned them, we've had problems that I've never seen before. Our own personal computers have started acting strange, everything
frominternet downings to total system crashes have happened to our staff. I'm not sure if this is just a coincidence, but it is strange that it happened to all of us within an hour after we confronted the people who were DDoSing our server. Is there anything else we can do to prevent a
futureoccurrence of this sort of a problem?
Edit: LolScott. I said portclog.exe was too weak to be a DDoS tool. Did you really have to repeat what I said?
