The latest addition I am making is a method of "timestamping" events. What I hope to be able to do is to allow some very diverse gameplay concepts to server operators. This could be as simple as an NPC that spawns only within a certain time window based on the server's local time, not uptime.
This means you could theoretically mod this into day and night specific NPC spawning, event only NPC spawning, or any combination. While spawning NPC's isn't the only thing this will be capable of, it will probably be the most used. I have already integrated a global chime
for hourly server time announcements, which I plan on making into an optional feature. This announcement will also be able to handle event announcements as well. I may update the .exe in a day or so for people interested in seeing the work in progress.

Nope i dont even use that fishing and mining that is "NONSENSE" - Besides my server has its own fishing and mining
And im not gunna add nonsense to it im gunna be using it fix my quests for starters then obviously gunna add sum juicy features from vodka to my server simple im not ur average server owner trust me ;)
and TIME STAMPING o.o is that wat i think it is?????? like its now kinda possible to actually do Buff items? increase ur stat for a while then it goes back?

If you think you can extract the parts from Vodka to your revision easily go for it. I will say a LOT of things were changed between Addison's quest release and this one. You won't get by with merely adding that. Also, for what you have added compared to what Vodka is, I would throw away your
entire source and add specific things you want into Vodka. Regardless of the stack of talk commands, fishing, mining, harvesting, pets, etc. that have been released, this build even in its current form is still the closest thing to a perfect EO main emulation there is. If you are still comfortable
with the source you have and wish to "try" to extract parts of Vodka go for it. I will not be providing support for those of you that get errors in trying to do so.

i get the error
[ERR] could not load file :/ ./data/pub/data001.eif
and
[ERR] invalid file / failed read/seek: ./data/pub/data001.eif -- 287
and i have the data001 in the data - pub place, (which assuming by looking at the file its the right file (named data etc) So im not sure i understand the problem?

It means you need to get new pubs. The first line of code means that there isn't a .eif pub file available, and the second error code means that the pubs are corrupted.

I think probably the logical explanation is blame Microsoft for hiding file extensions. There are 3 dat001 files the client uses, 2 of which EOSERV requires. Make sure you have added dat001.ecf, dat001.eif, dsl001.esf, and dtn001.enf to your server's data/pub folder. Another issue some people
may have is with newer Windows operating systems (Vista and up) and protected directories (like /Program Files). The newer OSes tend to use the "User Account Control" to prevent you from adding/overwriting files in these directories. You should make sure you have EOSERV's trunk stored in a public
directory or make a new C:/EOSERV directory just for this purpose.

just to mention in regards to your first post, this build works fine with linux after you bypass the 1 or 2 problems that can occur with the pubs etc (im using linux atm) - and also, this doesn't have fishing/mining etcetc does it ?
