Is there any chance that you will release the source? Since that is what you said on your first reply. I have heard some people that wait for the source to be released before they use vodka. But if you dont plan to release it you should say it instead of giving false hope to ppl.

Did you read the disclaimer on the first fucking page? Here is a copy/paste of it:  "I will release a source to this build in the near future(maybe)".

Essentially there are a couple of reasons Vodka stays closed source.
Number one: Vodka is stable and supports nearly every single function of the original EO flawlessly. The current build I am working on has went 2 weeks before manual restart on a live server(50-100 players).
Number two: Why should I release the source to Vodka at this point? It would only become tainted with every other released hack in forums and become labeled as Hollow's twinkie cake v.9.7. No thanks.

One thing that I have done is pay strict attention to detail. When someone releases a revision, it usually contains pets/fishing/mining/harvesting which are some of the worst hacks I have ever seen come from this forum. Personally, I could care less how many times you attack a tree andcallthat harvesting. Something far more important to me would be fixing the PK system to allow a player to shoot thru a team mate to hit an enemy player. This is just one of the many fixes that Vodka has that other builds do not. Basically, if you look at the release date of Vodka you will see itwasfar ahead of any of the other shitty builds that were released at the time, and oddly no one else has released anything as stable and bug free since.

The next build I release of Vodka will provide several security features and slight fixes to other mechanics of the server along with a few bells and whistles as far as commands go...

There is no fucking reason to get mad...? I just asked it since i have heard from ALOT of people that you won't release it anymore so i wanted to make sure.

And what's up with that holllow's twinkie cake 9.7? it's stable lately and its not like it's a war of the best rev is it?

It's true though, Hollow as far as I know. . But I could be wrong your rev is just copy paste, Trial and error. I would hate to see EOvodka turn to shit and ruined by all this wanna-be runescape skills. If your going to add features to a game you want it to be unique. Whats the pointanyways?

On another point, Where is everyone going with Eoserv these days, You can only do so much. . All I see is new maps, items, NPCs. Really basic add-on features like mining, fishing etc. Nobody is actually taking Endless-Online to another level. Time to move on.

If you have downloaded the latest version you see that the most unneeded features are removed. And it's quite clean now. Besides it used to be a copy n paste rev but lately there are alot of new coded things which arent released or anything. But like i said.. this is not a battle between which rev is the most populair one. I just meant that apollo has to calm down since i just asked a small thing. I never said that vodka was bad anyways since it isnt.

Quite honestly, Vodka is a collaberation of work that I put together with the help of Addison and Bart. It had essentially everything done a year ago.  I dubbed the project "Vodka" quite simply because when I coded spells for EOSERV shortly after Sausage added NPC support I was drunk off my ass (btw, no EOSERV server on the SLN had spells aside from some talk command).

At this point, I am leaning toward just releasing Vodka in .exe format. It is far more newb-friendly to use.

why dont you make a script system so we can add our own things in?

Sounds fair. Good job anyways. I don't want to have any more argues anyways :D
