I don't think that Sausage is actively producing EOSERV anymore. You would be better off making this feature yourself, or using a more stable software. If I recall correctly, he started work on EOSERV#, which would be written in C# and supposedly would be more stable than EOSERV, but I don't know how far he got on it.

I really don't believe it when people say they are getting DDoS'd. I analyze the firewall logs from FE and I find it USUALLY just be one IP spamming connections. That's a DoS not DDoS. Fairly easy to mitigate using a decent firewall.

Agreed, and also get a decent host provider, they have a DDoS safe usually. Also even with a decent firewall, you can prevent those, like Scott said..

That's not exactly true. You typically need gigabytes of bandwidth in order to mitigate an attack and fairly expensive equipment to do it. Most people outsource their "scrubbing" to companies like this: http://www.gigenet.com/ddos-protection.html. It's basically a proxy that scrubs the traffic before it ever reaches the customers server so no bad traffic actually reaches it.

It's 100% illegal to go DDOSING, Hacking others. If you can get a capture of them, and report them to the cops, They can get banned from the internet.

No matter the case or not, Your still accessing there computer with out permission, it's like breaking into someones house.

DDoS'ing isn't accessing somebody's computer, though I suppose you would be illegally accessing the zombie computers (the ones doing the dirty work).

You can't get banned from the internet. Your ISP might suspend or terminate your services though if you're reported and proof is sent. It's illegal yes but the cops won't magically go arrest someone just because you say they're doing it. Police still need HARD evidence of said crimes before people can be arrested/prosecuted.

Actually you can get banned from the internet, Just last week a guy met a girl on a dating site and met her and raped her, and he was banned from every site, but was given access to a couple sites due to him working online.

Thats not getting banned from the internet, thats just being banned from multiple sites. Also that happens all the time with people getting raped or assulated by Cyper predators, it doesnt mean u get banned from the interet, u go to jail.

The closest thing to being banned from the internet is doing something highly illegal online and getting caught, going to jail for x time, and then having the legal system monitor your internet and have admin access to your router and changing allowances to only let you go to your work sites.

But that would be very ineffective, inefficient, and generally a pain in the ass to do, so I highly doubt it would ever happen.

You can't just get "removed from the web". Most governments are recognizing that internet is now a basic human right. Bill Gates wouldn't get away with mass murders either...

But Scott, remember that Obama is attempting to procure a global "internet killswitch", as it is. Which I think is utter bullshit.

I'm not really for it either but there is a legitimate concern. The United States entire communications, energy, etc. infrastructure is online. It's being hacked every day by foreign governments. In the event of a war, the government would need to be able to isolate said infrastructure.
