Most Important Server Feature
It is always interesting to see how people feel about the private servers they play. Given the official releases of Seose and EOSERV, what do you feel is the most important feature that is missing from these emulators? It can be specific to one emulator, or common to both. Try to keep it
realistic as to what EO can do rather than something that "could" be hacked in to work. It's ok to post the same reply as someone else here as that would show the missing feature's popularity.

Re: Most Important Server Feature
IRC support:
#global = global chat
#[mapnumber] = maps public chat
#[guildtag] = each guild chat
#all = everything
#pms = private messages
#party = all party chat [each party will be assigned an ID]
I would also suggest a bot so that information about partys, guilds, etc. could be looked up. I assume the ability to ban, jail, and mute could also be integrated in the bot.

effective pet systems and moderation commands (Fresh revisions do not involve $mute, $hide and pets and spells etc etc) but also, achievements for EOSERV would be pretty cool too :) ---

Re: Most Important Server Feature
I tried integrating achievements into eoserv, but I don't really know C++ well enough to be doing something that hardcore -.- it would be a cool feature to see in eoserv. Especially if the person writing the achievement system actually knew C++ :P ---

Re: Most Important Server Feature
Achievements would be nice, something different, That can be done easily I'm pretty sure.
Mounts that's client side (You'd need to add a whole new GFX)
The spell (Shape shift) That can be done, I think there's what 5 spell frames? correct me if I'm wrong.
Now for what I think would be a great feature I have to say, In-game effects such as, Option to have snow, bright, aka sunny, dark, rainy, and soon, I think them effects would make the server a more realistic.

The only two people that should be able to view PMs are the sender and receiver. " Private Message" - The clue's in the title. Admins shouldn't spy on private (and potentially personal) messages and anyone that even thinks about implementing this on their server should be very ashamed. I can't stress enough how much this goes against my morals. Also, I'm not sure how IRC is an "Important server feature" that people would actually find useful. One of the main reasons to avoid EO is so you don't have to listen to the idiots constantly spouting their intolerant, raciest and homophobic views. You really don't need that when you're not even logged in =P Anyway back to the question... I think EO's class system needs scrapping and rewriting. Lets face it, the only difference between a warrior and priest is the stat you clickspam when you level up. The combat mechanics are still the same (ctrl) as are the items you use. =[ Yeah, so that's what I'd change. The combat/class system. I guess another feature missing that adds a new dimension to most mmo's is professions. Blacksmiths, farmers, scribes, etc. ---

I completely agree with the spying stuff however multiple servers do it.

Re: Most Important Server Feature
A new market system.
Like you can click on a booth to open up a shop, or walk into it like a town board to open up the shop, and stuff like that.
I don't like the market system now.

Auction house and "junk shop" systems would be great, you can sell your items and people can check them from board for example (Shop board or something) and you can make auctions and stuff... for rare items for example...
That would be great, also the achievements system would be nice too :P

Re: Most Important Server Feature
- Walking into shops (tile step) is a great idea
- Auction (eor) or similar (would help decrease constant spamming)
- Classes / equipment restrictions (never worked =[ )
- Spells were never implemented into an official revision, not everyone can compile non-official revisions
- Karma effects
- Increase limit on GFX files (EO.Addon?)
- Increase crafting ingredients limit
- Class / earn-able traits (e.g. Mage = spell resistance) - (linked to class / equipment restrictions)
- Elemental equipment effects
- Upgradeable equipment
- mini - games (things like racing (already featured))
I could write these all day but I thought I would just mention most of the important faulty / un-implemented features XP

That's isn't really part of the game. You can actually use Ventrilo, Mumbo, etc. for this.
