Okay i changed os's back to ubuntu desktop edition and dont have wine installed is there anything i should do instead of just going directly and downloading it?

Do what it says in the link I pasted. You need to add the ppa repository and then open a terminal and type sudo apt-get install wine.

Do YOU want to do it for me :D?

I had problems running EO in wine. I think it was DirectX. Mucked up grahpics and such.

Was this a while ago? The old stable version did this but the stable version now (development then) works great.

ya eo wont run on linux to well u can play but u cant use any hacks or nothng like that

u have to install the newest wine 1.3 beta from the wine site to play it

any older and u just get black crashed page ;(

i've tried alot to get eo working good on ubuntu it sucks slow as hell
