seriously did vult-r really shutdown the main ..> you'd think if he was gunna shutdown a server he would shutdown the test because the main has more people.  If eo isn't on i don't know what im gunna do without it D: yes, i have no life.

Looks like the physical server is online but Endless Online's server isn't running.

Could be a server move? XD I don't understand why vult can't simply do a wipe and a speed fix, If he did that a community will actually form once again...=/

Hmm.

ok thanks scott that got a little hope back into me.  And the only problem of doing a wipe, would be the fact of everyone being a newb, with no items. / levels.  Then alot of people would quit.

Endless-Online has just got boring now. Too many scammers, speeders & hackers. 

they all ruined the game.  =(.

well yeah, all that shit is messed but its fun meeting people from diffrent countries learn new languages ???!!?

2 things you don't understand about Vult-r.

#1 EO is his hobby, not his job. He made it for fun. It is of no profit to him, as well it is very dated by current mmorpg's that are out there.

#2 Vult-r is a nice guy. He wants everyone to enjoy playing EO. Speeders, dupers, hackers, etc are all a part of his player base. This is why he releases walled/jailed players. While Vult-r does have the knowledge to fix these things (I am pretty sure Sausage has flat out told him), it is of no great concern to him to do anything. The Hall of Pain map was implemented not to give players something brand new to do, but to deter the selling of costume accounts for money. It was something that had to be done as things had went from EO wrong to morally wrong.

As far as EO going away, Vult-r still says he has plans to do things with it, make a new version, add more features, etc. All I really know is that this may happen should he get some free time on his hands (he does have a life and it isn't EO). One thing he assured me, the protocol will be handled differently so that any future versions of the EO client will not be readily compatible with private servers.

Yes apollo true, BUT.

He hasn't been doing updates on the game in a very short while and V29 should have been out dates ago.

Until we make new or modify our current private server software.

I personally think that if his spare time is so rare and precious he should spend it making the game better, not waste it trying to stop us make private servers when it's pretty obvious we can and will.

...not that for one second do I believe he'll ever work on EO again =P

Like that will ever happen though...

I Thought Vult-r Gave Up On EO Because He Got Bored With It. Not That The Rest of Us Really Care About Vult's Absence. Players Who Cheats and Speed Have Made The Server Difficult To Play When it Comes To Player Interaction, But It Is Still Playable In The Means That You Don't Buy Items From Players. (seeing As Everyone Has Already Become Rich From Fake Gold). Besides, Vult-r Fixed This Error (kinda) By Taking Away Any Amount of Gold above 2mil After You Log Out From Main Server.

You make it sound easy. To make it 3D, he's first going to have to get rid of all the bugs so that it's actually playable, and then spend about 3years making all the graphics 3D. Which involves switching to Direct3D and handling rotations.

I think we should get Sordie and/or Sausage to run the main/test server, and that way there would be admins on to treat the problem with hackers, and new maps/ version would come out more, AND the players would possibly have a say in how EO is.
