Hmm you want to play a midi file of a song or an mp3 of a song?

Files/specifications needed:

Eo map editor alpha v5 by Rena

Audacity

Recording sound card

i will not provide the links well maybe later when im not busy

Midi

1. For midi's its simple you download the song you want in a midi format from google or a midi downloading site

2. Then you need to go into rena's EOmapaplha5 editor and change the song on the 3rd tab which is under sound/other

3. The number of the BGM is the number of the mfx midi file change one of the MFX numbers in your mfx folder to mfx002, mfx040 or what ever.

4. Save the map file reload the map and DUN DUN! the midi will play.

Example: so mfx040 will be 40 on the BGM

Playing MP3's

1. To play an mp3 of a song on a map its a little more complicated first you need to convert the mp3 to a wav you can use the method that i use by downloading audacity(google it) and letting your computer record the sound on the wave tab under your volume settings as your microphone.

2. Go to volume control in start-->all programs-->accesories-->entertainment-->volume control go to options->properties select mixer device as recording or input then tick the box that says wave out mix other then microphone or something.

3. Once you have downloaded audacity open up your mp3 song and hit play then quickly switch to audacity and hit record(the big red button) so it starts recording wait till song finishes or wherever you want it to stop.

4. Hit File-->Export as WAV, in audacity next save it somewhere on your desktop or w.e

5. Now replace the wav you saved as a SFX file in your SFX folder such as sfx001, sfx040, making a new one might work havn't tried it yet..

6. Open rena's Eomapalpha5 editor select 3rd tab sounds/other Ambient SFX = the sfx you choose as the mp3,

Make 7 as the awesome value

7. Go into 1st tab (Main) select tile specification settings make a tile specification 33 when you walk up to that tile the sfx you selected will play and get louder when you walk away from the tile it will fade out.

8. Save the map file reload the map and the song should play! unless the tile specification was wrong

Sorry the music tile specification is 33 i fixed it above if you saw this post any other time thats the reason it didn't work.

that is all if you can't understand or want to complete this tutorial don't bother.

hope this helped thanks.
