how many fps you think eo got ? and how many should my client have? i know i get around 70 FPS and that isnt really much but i will update the code and get i think around 200+-

I limited mine to 40ish and with the correct frames and movement speed it runs just like EO and since it's so low on FPS it should work perfectly on slow PC's too

If you start to notice that it is slower than EO. I would bet it's Allegro4. In my opinion, I have no faith in it; I do think it will slow you down. If it ever does, Allegro5 would be the next option.
That is what eomap2 was made in, and you can't even say that's slow :P
I couldn't get faster FPS on eomap2 in my previous map editors.

I'm using Allegro5 myself for my project :) I will agree that it is alot fater on FPS that Allegro4 so I would also recomend an upgrade

well on the moment i don't have lag here and i can make movement way better but than i can't read walk x and y so on the moment i prefer this way :p and if i get lag i will look how to change it but i think my reall project will be in VB but i will make this 1 first done

A VB clone will be worse, Even my Map Editor sucked in that and it didn't include NPC's ect.

I'll frigging kill you if you make this in Allegro 4 I downloaded it and opened
it, Jesus, My computer lagged like there was no tomorrow, and the "x" was blocked so ALT CTRL Delete worked well.
Ya I suggest making it in C++ or Allegro 5

Allegro is in C/C++ Allegro5 is just a new release that is all different to the old release. I like the new Allegro to be honest and the more time I spend off here means more time me coding LOL. I need to get the loading working perfectly in Allegro5 before the end of the night.

Stuff you should fix tho
Reduce walk speed 30%
Still work when you press other program or minimize not glitch (song example)
The map is 23 x 32 but its reading the ? x THIS <- Wrong
EDIT: Microship, you have to press Quit, he havent added the X option yet i belive

and no don not reduce the walk speed at all. it's fine where it is
If anything make it a tad bit faster. not enough to tell really, but right now I find it's walking a little slow. causing just a tad bit lag.

Read what I said, I said a tad faster, not enough you can really tell. Try putting speed low on EO. see how that turns out :] Reason for the lag when you speed high, is cause EO reading frames has a limit.
