Post #40565 TUTORIAL ON HOW TO MAP

Step 1. Download Sausage's EOMap editor alpha 7 here.

Step 2. In your desktop make a new folder (name it anything you want) and extract the files there

Step 3. Once extracted you'll see a folder named "gfx". Go to My Computer, Local Disk C:, Program Files (or x86), EndlessOnline. Open it up and youll see 25 files named gfx001,gfx002, and so on. Select them all and copy them.

Step 4. Paste the 25 gfx files in the "gfx" folder inside the folder that contains EOmap pics named Arena, Cursor, etc.

Step 5. Make sure you have these files next to EOMap 7:  a4_font, cursor, allegro5 and the folder named "gfx" (must have the 25 GFX files inside)

Step 6: Enjoy mapping.

Note: when you save maps, save them as (whatever you want).emf (EMF = Endless Map File)

Guide to: Adding NPCs and other stuff.

Step 1: Download Rena's EOMap editor 5 here.

Step 2: Once opened, click "File" then "Open" then select the map you wish to add the NPC to.

Step 3: Once you have opened the map you want, click "Select Editor" and then select NPC Spawn Editor and hit the "Run" button next to editor.

Step 4: Once you hit "Run" there will be a chart containing this: locX, locY, npcID, param, range, count.

locX - you set here the X coordinate you want it to spawn at (check Sausages map editor, bottom right youll see the coordinates if you hover your mouse over map)

locY - same as ^

npcID - the ID of the NPC you want to spawn (check guide.endless-online.info for a list of every NPC)

param - spawn time of the NPC

range - speed of the NPC (0-7) (7 for static)

count - quantity of NPCs you wanna add.

Step 5: Once you have all those added, hit update/save

Step 6: When you close the window and go back to the EOMap (EOSEP)  program, go to "File" and hit "Save"

Voila, you're done.

Hope this helped

I dont see why there needs to be a tutorial when mapping is one of the easiest things, but this could help beginners who are new to it.
