Usually if it dosent even open then i suggest update GFX cards drivers... works on me...

Do you even know the point of a forum? It's not for team-viewing purposes.

You put all the files in a folder, aswell as GFX, Maps, and other things you would think that need to be added, I recommend the main folder of your EO server emulator.

Yeah i'm running Windows 7 Ultimate (x32) also.....it used to work the same machine when I had XP Media Center 2005 but isn't now.

I'm going to assume it's a permissions issue. DON'T USE C:\Program Files\* ! You mostly likely don't have permissions to that folder. Use your desktop or My Documents instead. This may not even work, but it's just a guess.

If you're already using a folder you have permissions to I don't have a clue.

Oh, I think we've established it works on Windows 7. No need to repeat it.

1. Check your firewall settings, for some reason once before this blocked eomap from opening, im not sure why as when eomap is open, no data is transferred via html ports.

2. Try turning off UAC, this can cause the permissions problems Scott had talked about.

3. Make sure that the GFX folder, all Specs Icons, and the Allegro file , along with the palhead/footer graphics and cursor graphic, are all in the same spot.

4. Update your graphics driver, if you don't know what your card or on-board is, check using run -> dxdiag -> Display.

5. If none of this works, try running windows update (ONLY IF YOU HAVE LEGAL COPY OF OS, if you don't it will detect it, and give you 30 days to activate, and comp will become pretty much useless)

6. Worst comes to worst, you have on-board graphics from the last decade and your computer cant run eomap.

Ah i figured it out.

I needed to update my praphics drivers after i upgraded to windows 7.

Iv got eomap working now.

And scott i have the files in a folder on my desktop. (and yes i have access to c:/program files.)

I downloaded it. And It worked for a little bit .. but then it quits?  Everytime I click on Object or anything it sends an error report. and sometimes when i open it an error report pops up right away..

Once again, sounds like a graphics card driver issue. If you updated your drivers and that hasnt work, it may be that you dont have enough memory to show every image in the tileset.

so instead of you answering my question you give me -1 nice move scott and i put the files where u said and its still not working this is very dumb why does it have to be so hard to setup renas worked right after i downloaded it.

It works fine for me but when i try to scroll to the bottom it brings me to the top

I don't even know how to update my drivers....  so that could be a bit of a problem..

i added custom gfx's in and it wont show it pops up the program has encountered an error and needs to close message
