PortForward Guide By TheLastCuban. For Neccesities Email thelastcuban@myspace.com(It works).

Step 1: Figuring Out Your Router IP.

Go To Start Menu And Run ipconfig In The "Run" Application.

Type 'ipconfig' Without Quotations And Run. If You Are Using Ubuntu, Open Terminal And 

Run "ifconfig". Why They Substituted The p For And f? I Have No Idea.

Circled In Red: The "Application" With 'ipconfig' Typed In It.

Step 2: What You Should See.

In The Blank Black Box Above Is The "Run Application. It Should Look Like That But With 

Information In It. Your Internal IP Starts With "192.168._._" Without Quotations.

Step 3: Router

Copy "192.168._._" Without Quotations And Paste Into Your Favorite Web Browser.

A Dialog Box Should Pop. By Default, The Username is "admin" Without Quotations And

The Password Would Be Either Blank Or "password" Without Quotations Or "admin" Without

Quotations.

Step 4: The Most Important

As You Can See, Im using A Linksys Router But On Most Routers, It's The Same Concept.

Circled In Red: Theres A Tab That Should Say Applications And Gaming.

Circled In Blue: In The "Application" Column Just Put A Name That You Can Remember.

In That Row, Change The "Start" And "End" Columns Both To 8078. In The IP Enter The IP

That Started With "192.168."

Step 5: Registering Domain

Circled In Red: Go To "dontexist.org"

Circled In Blue: Click DynDNS.

Step 6: Registering Domain Part 2

Circled In Red: Pick Any Name You Like In The Box. Then Click Add.

Step 7: Registering Domain Part 3

Circled In Red & Blue: ITS FREE! ALL SERVICES ARE FREE!

All You have To Do Is Register or Login.

Step 8: Registering Domain Part 4

Circled In Red: Click Activate Services.

Step 9: Final Step.

Circled In Red: There's Your Domain Name.

Circled In Blue: Your IP Address Should Show Up There.

No Problem. And Thanks For Posting The Link From The Other One. Sorry I Double Posted, I Just Didn't Know Which One To Put It In But Since I Use Soese, I Put It In That Forum.

It's pretty general and not really server specific. Idealy we could use a "General" or "Guides" section, or maybe talk to Scott about porting it to his campus.scottdollins.com site.

On another note, can you scale the width of your signature down a little. It's breaking the forums layout. It's suppose to happen automaticly (all images maxwidth="100%) but Sausage needs to do some tweaking. =P
