EditPub v2.00b Updated

Update:

Post any new idea's or bugs with this version.

Once the item editor is satisfactory I'll do the NPC editor next.

I've been rewritting PubEdit from scratch, so I decided to change it's name.

This is just a test release and can only load and save .eif files. However it should be a LOT harder to break your file now. And it won't go turning your shoes into ears or making your gob helms break endless anymore.

Download: http://www.eo-sep.com/downloads/editPubv2.00b.rar

Quick Tut:

After you load your .eif file, double click on the entry you want to edit. After changing what value's you want, click Update.

Then you can either save the pub file and test it, or edit another entry.

To Do:

 - Add other editors

 - Add "Save As"

 - Add some sort of advanced mode to overwrite disabled editfields

Change Log v2.00:

 + First public release

+ Item Editor should be fully functional.

Change Log V2.00b:

+ Added "New EIF" file option

 + Added Add/Delete item option

 * Item list now starts at ID 1

 * UnkC changed to Requirement - Level

 * Now disables field's that have nothing to do with the selected item type

 * Fixed the window title

I've got 6 unknown's on the item file's right now, you can see them on page 4

May I suggest hiding non-applicable values for some types? This would be the biggest user-friendlyness change you could make (You don't need min/max dam for gold). Also renaming the spec1/2/3 values appropriately.

For scrolls it would be "map, x ,y" for exp scrolls "exp, (hidden), (hidden)" etc.

Not really:P I found a way how to edit it. The npc damage is determined from ACC and EVA not MnD and MxD. But can some1 tell me why the pub don't want to open the seose armors/npc/ etc?And why I can't make it bigger.... I can't see where to edit the stats from items (only the items it reads...)

This is awesome, just a fix for the Npc file is left, it breaks the 127 used for the Shaman Npc. I don't think Spells or Classes go as high to need a fix for any value of 127.

Edit: One of the Unknowns is Level Requirement, I will do further testing tomorrow. Sleep zzz

@MAruisboy Well EOSEP is reading those value's as damage, I should recheck an original item file to see which values are the correct damage ones.

Post #14395 Re: EditPub v2.00 Released
