Forum :: Client Editing :: How to patch in 10 easy steps. (Tutorial)

1)Go to google and download reshack.

2)Open up Reshack and at the top you should see a File button, click that.

3)Up at the top where it says Look in: click the arrow point down beside the white line.

4)Choose the endless online gfx folder. At the bottom hit the arrow and choose All files (*.*) Then choose what gfx you want to patch, ex:gfx001.

5)Hit the View button up at the top, and then hit Expand tree.

6)Where the little green circles are is where the gfx's are. Right click the one you want to edit.

7.)And then click Save [bitmap (number of gfx):0]... Save it somewhere like your desktop.

8.)Open it up with paint. Then edit it the way you want it.

9.)Save it, the go back to Reshack and right click the same gfx as before, and hit replace resource... Then hit the Open file with a new bitmap and choose the edited gfx. and then hit replace.

10.) Make sure your EO is closed before going to File and hitting Save. Or else it won't save.

That's it :).

Why over write the old item when you can just add it as a whole new item?

Because you can't add a gfx in reshack.

He pretty much just mocked my tutorial i made earlier in the replacing background topic. Its the same method for any patching.

Calm it guys and everyone has their own ways of patching and if it works for them let them post a tutorial of their liking.

ok well i replaced 5 of the bitmaps.

and EO isnt up or anything. i go to file, save, and it says this...

"Cannot rename original file. Saving cancelled"

What do i do? XD

Did you rename anything?

Add this to the tutorial please:

when patching gfx001 and 002 never patch in more than 6 images without closing and reopening reshacker, this can lead to glitches in the client

ok i rad all this now wat do i do to getoter ppl to see it upload the whole client to then download right

this doesnt work for seose it only changes the look of it i want to change the damage and create a new one basically a copy of the old one but with new stats..

It says can't rename original file saving canceled. WHY IS IT DOING THIS PLEASE RESPOND ASAP!
