How do I run EO map editor in Linux?

Post #205279 How do I run EO map editor in Linux?

I'm trying to run map editor and EO client on Linux...both are having issues:

EO client doesn't work at all...

The map editor cannot go full screen at all...

The forum threads are outdated and am wondering if anyone could help. I am also using a Chromebook with Linux enabled. I installed regular Wine, not the development build as I saw Sausage post about.

Can't help you with the EO client, but you can use the eomap-js preview instead of eomap-classic.

You can use WINE with the latest EO Client update, without having to make any modifications or config changes.

I just tried it and it does this weird flashy thing in full screen mode and when in small screen mode the top of the screen will do a weird glitchy flashy thing too just not as bad.
