Portforward 8078, then inside of "sln.ini"
Edit
## SLN (bool)
SLN = no (Should already be set by default.)
SLNHost = (Leave blank, for your IP Address to host it, your little brother may need to connect using the ip, unless he can manage to connect through localhost or 127.0.01 with you.)
Idk if any of this will help, due to never testing this theory myself.
That was the absolute wrong answer. For a local connection (your home network) you do not need to set up port forwarding. The only time you should do this is if you have a connection over the internet. The SLN by default is not declared in EOSERV, but not announcing you have a server up would
help if you did have a port open to play EO across the internet. Lastly, I would use a different port other than 8078 as well if you are playing over the internet and not on the same network.
If you are at home:
On the server's PC:
Type CMD in the Windows search box and press enter.
type ipconfig in the command window that popped up and press enter.
write down the IPv4 IP address (usually like 192.168.x.x)
On the client PC:
Enter the IP address found above as the server host in the client's econfig.exe server setup program and the port you have set EOSERV to use on the server machine.
At this point as long as the server is running and there are no firewall rules or 3rd party firewall programs blocking you, then you should be able to connect to the local server.
