Okay, so, I'm on w10 and cannot get mysql 5.5 to finish configuring. It gets to start service and won't do it. I've allowed connections from the port inbound and outbound just incase that was the issue and it's still not working.

edit: Now, it's not responding at all. Not sure what the problem is. Trying to set up a server for me and my friend. I have no problems writing quests and pixeling, just not good at setting up this server stuff.

I suggest using SQLite instead, no need to set up MySQL if you're just playing with friends

You should be using the MariaDB libraries for EOSERV. Also, make sure you have properly setup and configured both the user/pass settings for the database install and the EOSERV database config files. SQLite is not recommended for live servers at this time.
