Re: EO Map Editor 0.1.0 (preview release)
I think sausages map editor program hit a brick wall...
For some reason, all the map editor projects seem to go nowhere, and the ones that work are private. No wonder I have people stealing my maps 24/7 its because nobodies released a newb friendly map editor yet. I spend days making advanced maps that the players love and some faggit steal em and
uses in his own server with no credits.
So I guess this is the life of eoservers......

What I heard Sordie will make one from the client sometime. She tried to explain how to me, but I don't get it. I'm working on a C++ and VB one. Just using whichever completes first :P

Re: EO Map Editor 0.1.0 (preview release)
Even though I've had my doubts in Sordies aspiration to work on seose, this actually sounds good. I know she's fully capable of making one, its about time someone with brains started making one. I couldn't care less what format its made in, as long as it works.
Apparently that ducci made a visual editor a while back, I'm like, oh yaya ty so much for sharing it..... douche.

Well, your not a coder I presume. It does matter what language it's in. C++ is a language with very few limitations, so you the coder have to set what you want it to do, and what not to do. VB is very limited, but is visual so it's simple to do small stuff. VB is much slower than C++, that's why
EO is fast.

Re: EO Map Editor 0.1.0 (preview release)
Makes sense, thanks :D
And no, I'm not a coder, I just have a pretty high I.Q and learn things damn fast when I have the interest for them. But that's my problem so I won't explain. One day I'll probably get fully into c++ but today is not that day, I'm hooked on map editing atm.

Re: EO Map Editor 0.1.0 (preview release)
I use to think I was the same. I could learn a language quick and 'understand' it. But the truth was, I just coded to get it valid, not to get it proper. It's not going to be as easy as you think. For C++/C, I went through read about how a computer works, how memory works, then how it was all
saved in a application. I understand it more, but I will never understand it 100%. You may be able to do basic stuff, but it's a lot of work to get into advance stuff like making games, etc.
