So i edited a few tiles but when i try to see them in game theyre black and it starts looking like an eof somewhere
but they show fine in the map editor?

any reasons my tiles would appear pure black in game?

Are you sure you have the same tile EGF file in your client as you do in your mapper?

Did you save them as 24-bitmap, or png/other?

The program you used doesn't make a difference. You may have corrupted your GFX folder and that's a no-no. Delete the folder you have and replace it with the same folder from the EO Clone client, then try again. If that doesn't work, create all new GFX files.

One of 2 things.

1) You corrupted your EGF file as Nurd said, most likely by saving it multiple times in the same session or by editing it when another program (like the client or mapper) was using.

2) Photoshop did something goofy with the tile BMP's alpha layer, which is handled poorly by the client.

then it was indeed because it got corrupted and ill have to re do it all.

because similar happened to me in gfx 2 and i replaced it with the same pictures the 2nd time around and it worked

Open the .bmp file in Microsoft Paint and re save it through there. That fixes it for me :)
