will not connect to server list, I port forwarded and everything here my SLN

Change the SLNURL to http://www.apollo-games.com/SLN/sln.php/

Apollo now hosts the SLN, eoserv.net just shows it.  So your url is just incorrect.

changed it, and still nothing, my server is not telling me any errors with the check-in either, so I'm jst kindve clueless as to why its not showing on the online list's

Wondering if maybe an error is occurring if it expects a valid website address.  Can you confirm that people are able to connect to your server publicly?

no cant confirm that, recently I took off the "nosite" thing in sln and nothing. I don't get errors in my

I'll try connecting to the server url provided in post #1.  It might be a port forwarding issue.

EDIT: double check your port forwarding.  I'm unable to connect using the information above.  Also when doing a hostname to IP lookup, it's coming back as a local IP.  It has to be pointing to your public IP address.

ive double checked my port forwarding, even watch a video to confirm I was doing it right. ima send yu a pm

99.9% of the time when a server won't connect it is on the user side. Three checks you can follow: 

1. Are no other servers listed?

2. Can players connect to your server?

3. Are you not using EOSource?

If all three are yes, it might be my fault. Otherwise, fix connections on your end.

I know its something on my end. that's not what I need to know. but after portforwarding, getting a domain and setting SLN correctly, n I still don't show, I don't know what else it could be. and its not even getting to show, no one can connect either, but me

Server may be off, however, port check tool seems to show your port as closed.

Basics, create port forward rule to send all incoming connections to your router requesting port 8078, to be forwarded to a machine within your network, something like 192.168.*.*, the machine within your network then needs to be running a service / program to catch those ports requests / data. Simply by running the server and allowing the exception to be created in Windows Firewall should enable this.

After that, attempt to connect to your server using your External IP (Google for What is my IP and it will tell you your Ext IP).

If connection is successful using your External IP, attempt to connect using your DNS Hostname (GoodTymes.sytes.net), if that is successful as well, then huzzah! If not, you have narrowed down the issue to your DNS settings, rather than port forwarding.
