| Optimizing Endless Online to Work with Windows 10
Hello everyone. As I'm sure many of you are already aware of, running EO on Windows 10 is a nightmare since the game runs and feels all clunky. I haven't played EO in a while, and I would like to know if there's any way I can optimize it so that it runs smoothly on Windows 10. Are there any programs that can emulate processes as though they're being run on Windows XP, Vista or 7? I'm not so interested in setting up a virtual machine, so if there are any other alternatives I'd be happy to hear them.

do you run it in compatibility mode? --- I not hacker “Everybody is a genius. But if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid.†- Albert Einstein : Really Great Quote Ramy!

well at least you have free windows updates for years until your computer breaks ( windows 10 is the last "new version" of windows distributed seperately. from now on new major windows revisions will be sent via windows update in windows 10! ) --- I not hacker “Everybody is a genius. Might have something to do with your graphics drivers. What kind of gpu do you have?

manually update your graphics drivers, rather than choosing the recommended automatic update. (all will seem well with automatic driver updates, but manual will give a noticeable difference because windows 10 is fucked) also, try right clicking your eo file and running as an administrator?

Never had any errors from my graphics drivers. I've tried everything from running the program as an administrator, to meddling with the compatibility modes; nothing seems to work.

(I just got interest in it because my buddy rubs has windows 10 too now and is complaining about eo running slow) For some background I'm a computer technician and service computers for a small company. --- I not hacker “Everybody is a genius. There is one thing that breaks EO on Windows 10 and it is the drivers for the graphics card. To prove this, go to the Windows 10 search bar at the lower left, type "Device Manager" and select that from the top of the returned results. In the Device Manager window, click the arrow to the left of "Display Adapter" to expand the tree to show all graphic cards (you most likely have one). Right click on whatever the name of the graphic card is and select "Disable". At this point, run the EO game client. You will notice the game will run smoothly as it did back on previous versions of Windows. The proper way to fix this would be to update the drivers for the graphics card, but with thousands of different cards there is no promise that will even work due to the way Windows 10 and device drivers just don't get along. Anyway, there is the only known fix to make EO playable on Windows 10
if it seems horribly choppy. Share it, make a YouTube video how to, etc...

I've recently had a breakthrough that may dramatically help with Win10 rendering issues. Still need to test a few things but this could be an easy solution for EO.Addon users. EDIT: Forget inboxing me. I just removed the debug stuff and released it anyway. As usual it can be found on http://sordie.co.uk/addons It's called EOSoftwareRender.eaf --- http://sordie.co.uk http://twitter.com/@SordieEO
