Hi there!

Very nice work you got here, but as pointed out above there are some slight mistakes in regards to isometric viewpoints and your shading is off too.

I made my own version, of your update to show you how you can/could have structured it. I hope you don't mind! Note: It's rushed, so it's not as clean or great as I'd want it to be.

Now, your only real problem (that I could pick out) was your color choice. It's not saturated enough.
My saturation ranges around the center of this scale:

Whereas yours, ranges more towards the right:

There's nothing wrong with this! It just tends to look better and the shading is easier to do when your color choice is spread across your saturation scale better.
Your shading on the metal is perfect, however. You have the right idea - metal gets shiny when light hits it. That's what you've done:

This is excellent, just your shine is placed in the wrong part of the shoulderpiece.

Now, your shape is also off. Take a look at the figure of both my armor and yours, and notice the difference:

Don't worry about it. It's not necessary to keep to the shape, but it does make your armor/outfit look more appealing. EOs sprite is difficult to use as a template because it's incorrect in terms of isometric shape. That's why I edited mine, to make it easier to stick to an iso shape. I recommend you do the same.

Now, the shape is easier to understand. You get a clearer view of what the sprite actually looks like, and realize it's not actually fat. Here's a little guide to show you where's where:

That right arm is difficult to see on EOs sprite, that's why making fixes to it is always helpful.

A very important thing to remember when making metal, is that metal does not contort. This means you will have to create a way for the sprite to be able to bend over and move, which is why different plates are necessary (as you can see I put in the arms, legs and chest).

Very nice attempt overall, especially since it's your first time! I'm very impressed. A lot better than I was when I first started. Keep up the good work!

Edit:
Here's a sitting view of an armor I made for BU a little bit ago. You said you wanted one for a cape?

Holy shit wow! Thank you so much this is hugely helpful! :D

Edit: Would it be possible to get a copy of your templates?

Sure thing, however I only have the first frame fixed. I usually spend time on that first frame because it's the most common frame people will be using, so it's gotta look the most appealing. The rest of the sheet is just 75-80% copy and paste, so when all that's done it's easy to finish. Here's the female and male first frames all fixed up:

Looks great for a first pixel. I'm too embararassed to even mention my first/last attempt xD

I'm with him^. My first was a complete and utter disaster. Yours on the other hand is great! Good job, keep at it.

Thank you, dude! :D
