I'm not sure a second global for trading is a great idea. The idea of spamming you want to sell something is to make sure people are able to see it. The only way people would see the trade channel is if they exclude themselves from global (multiple channels in theory could be done, but it'd be a clusterfuck to make work with only a single prefix and tab), which cuts out most of the people who might see your messages.

A board isn't much better in that way, but it does fix the problem of wearing out your keyboard spamming messages out in to the void not even knowing if anyone can hear you (apart from the other 5 people spamming on the trade channel who are only trying to sell things as well), and having to sit in the potentially rarely used trade channel excluded from the world waiting to see if anyone posts that they're selling the thing you want. The main problem with the board is making it convenient to access, and actually making people want to open it up to check it occasionally. It'd be nice if there was a button on the client that could be hijacked to open it up. If I wanted to be really annoying I could have it pop open every time you click the global channel, so there's probably some compromise which will give it some attention but not too much.

Maybe I'm not thinking clearly, but could you not just have it be accessed via a player command, or a better method? That would be the easiest most convienent way to do it I think, as opposed to having it pop up after opening global chat.
