Open source client, anyone?
Author Message
Post #196000 Re: Open source client, anyone?

Hope to see more from this either way.

Maybe in the future custom server software would be a better choice than simply emulating a server.

just seemed like you was. like eoserv server sucks or something?

im to the point i dont care if we get a open source client or not... we just need a dam client... closed source or not."and not a ex clone.

99% of the coders think there code is special. and do not wish to help. but where would they be without artist?

they would be standing on there server with a man that looks like a stick figure.pft

i hope to see this client or any other one get finished. makes me wonder how much cash someone would have to pull out there ass for a client.

Assuming my free time is worth what I work for, a lot :P

Edit: I uploaded a couple changes. The binary executable isn't updated on github yet so you'll have to build the source but I'll take care of that when I get home (6-7 hours from now)

Nice to see that somebody else is working on an open source client. Do keep on keeping on.

Alright, guys, so I don't need to rewrite the information twice I'm going to stop posting updates on this thread. You can monitor the github repo if you want to see code changes.

When it gets to the point of being a playable game I'll start a new thread for that. And trust me, it's a when, not an 'if' :D (I'm having so much fun with this project I literally can't even)

Also, see the OP for some more change info. I added private and public chat handling and uploaded an album to imgur with some screenshots. If I feel like it, I'll update the repo on github with more screenshots as the project continues.

Until next time.
