GMO Food or Non-GMO Food?

Post #192817 GMO Food or Non-GMO Food?

What do you side with in terms of getting food? Recently, the company "Monsanto" has been trying to buy out all laws prohibiting the dis-labeling of GMO ingredients, and so far it has been working for them.

The problems with them being able to do this, is besides the fact that seeds not tested for any sort of additional side-effects in the human body are being released, but farmers are also being attacked if they are organic growers and are able to sustain themselves without the need for government help.

I for one am against any sort of genetically modified foods being a part of my diet, how do you side? Do you think it is a good idea to use GMO-based foods to fight world hunger and eat insects as an alternative, or should we not have GMO food and continue growing as we have been for centuries?

Down below are additional links describing the problems that are occurring because of this bio-tech giant Monsanto and its allies.

Im not as up-to-date on this debate as you are but in my personal opinion I am highly against over preserving food, and GM poultry and meats, vegetables etc. However you have to realize. The century(s) old methods are costing us much more money since the population has been multiplying. So I am against shooting steroids into animals and other food in order for them to become slightly bigger.

I for one am more angry about the living conditions in which thee animals are staying before they are killed and packaged. I love places like chipotle who are also against this disgusting "tradition", and have their own farms in which chickens, for example; aren't trampling over each other in a huge dark shed running around and being forced to eat their own feces which is utterly disgusting like majority of the chicken products in the market.

By the way if you don't already know this, e coli never existed before, until we started feeding cows corn. This is graphic but before they process the cow, they must pullout all of what the cow has eaten while its still alive through a funnel type thing since cows can't digest corn they are meant to eat grass. Its disturbing and we should be ashamed.

I had to bring all this up because this should take priority in the debate world. I almost want to become filthy rich just to fix our mistakes and buy out majority of the farms and remake the way they feed, keep and kill these animals. If farmers wouldnt over farm and have to have the government PAY them not to use a section of their farm this all would more then likely not an issue since farmers would be able to afford proper living conditions and food for the animals.
