I know alot of us here have had massive experience with eoserv and for the most part could set up a server in a heart beat. But some come and ask for help and end up getting trolled or just no reply. My question is simple why don't you as a member of this community help others??

My answer:

Me personally I have helped alot of servers that have died out or became popular and changed alot.. But now I feel most people just want it handed to them on a platter with no work involved. They don't even say thanks anymore.. let alone offer you a mod spot. I remember back in the day I helped bone (wayyyy back in the day) with uploading his client so it would be a faster download.. this was way before it got popular and for that I was givin' a low ranked mod spot. I didn't use my power let alone actually play BU but the reward was nice(joker was my name on there), or when EOPRO (or was it PROEO) made by zeoli needed a website I hosted it on my host and domain for that I was gave co-ownership. Now a days you do something nice they just blow you off like you did nothing for them.. and so now I just fuck with people.

If you go back in the pages of EOSERV or SEOSE, you'll see people co-operating. People actually thanked each other.
I aswell remember getting rewarded for stuff I did (though never was the type of person to ask for free admunzship pls) and the name I've build. People intend to call me an asshole now a days cause I'm not helping (much) anymore. As you said, "Why don't you help?" could have a counter message like; "Why don't you use your brain for a moment?", but then again. that counters with; "Why are you such an asshole?"

Yeah, I only help a few people that I think are somewhat "smart". If I intend to help people and they're not even giving me a "Thank you" I just respone with; "Yeah, You're welcome."

Why I don't help...

It's not why i don't help, it's when i don't help. I don't help when a person keeps repeating the question although the answer is obvious.

My help is very limited, but It's not that I want acknowledgment for helping I just hate that people now have the fucking nerve to get all pissy and treat you like shit when you point out things on their server like bugs or glitches. Thinking there is nothing wrong with their server and they dont need your advice but they need your help? Today's ''server'' , more like doomed to fail pieces of shit, owners truly are ignorant. Every server I have ever given help, usually just mapping to help them get a start, have given me shit for pointing out bugs or glitches as ridiculous as it may seem. So, fuck helping people on their damn short lived servers.

Something I do instead of sleeping

I've worked for many servers myself, mainly mapping, and I've created a couple of maps for them, and they immediately fired me. The problem was that I couldn't do anything about it, or, I didn't know how to do something about it, so now I am careful for who I work with/who offers me a job/just play servers. But yeah I see where you are coming from when you just troll people now. I do the same thing (more-or-less)

The funniest damn thing is when they find old free to use gfx and try so desperately to claim them as their own in hopes of getting players. As if it would save their pitiful server either way. I don't work as admin anywhere anymore, i just provide maps if they want them. Even then, I hardly ever map anyways anymore... so tired/bored of the old gfx :/. I'd make my own but I'm no good at pixeling as you all already know :P .
