| ![]() Lets throw open the forum to the members to share what they're working on. I don't mean private servers or graphics (unless that's exclusively what you do), I mean what do you do for hobbies, side projects, things to pass the time or something you're just truly passionate about? We're an interesting bunch here, so this should hopefully be equally as interesting. Oh, and post a photo (or a few photos) if you can! I've been working on an old car I bought back in December last year. It's an old Mitsubishi sedan with a 4-cylinder 2.6L engine and automatic transaxle, about 144000 miles on it. I spent a few thousand on the car itself, and it was running but kinda tired, very dirty and a bit on the broken side where someone had hit it from behind. Spent the last four months or so basically overhauling it from the ground up, gradually working more performance out of it and generally bringing it back to showroom condition. A lot of late nights and time spent out in the cold to get it to where it is today. This week though, it was finally re-registered, so I suppose now I have to look for something new to work on. ( Due to input from certain community members, I've withdrawn all but a basic initial contribution to this thread. The thread can otherwise progress as normal. ) --- EOSERV.net Academy Of Trolls, Satirists & Sarcastics 5.5 Years Former Site Administrator / Moderation Team / Member (Retired)

| ![]() You may wanna look into a few performance mods such as a cold air intake on that engine. :P they do have a few that'll pass smog check. I've been working on a 3.8l 97 v6 mustang I have a goal of 400 hp on the stock block (may run into a few issues but it should work.) currently at about 200 hp (50 more than stock) so it's pretty much equal with the camaro. Except I hit at 4.5k rpms while they hit at 5 or 6k. =3

| ![]() I believe a stainless cold air intake kit from a Mitsubishi 3000GT / GTO is a direct bolt on for this engine. At the moment the intake runs in from behind the headlight and draws in cold air from behind the bumper. If I removed the resonators and installed aluminium caps I could probably smooth out the intake flow. As I recall though the 2.6L engine doesn't flow overly well at full throttle, with most of the restriction in the exhaust manifold, so I'd be trying to start there before changing up the intake characteristics. Still, it's a worthy point to note. The most power I'll be able to develop from the engine would likely be if I were to remove the balance chain, balance the crank and run a lower flow oil pump to account for the removal of the balance shafts. It should rev like crazy then. Keep in mind though it's a front wheel drive running through an automatic transaxle, so it'll never develop as much usable power as its manual equivalents. --- EOSERV.net Academy Of Trolls, Satirists & Sarcastics 5.5 Years Former Site Administrator / Moderation Team / Member (Retired)

| ![]() I make mediocre electronic music using Ableton and Massive. I run 2 blogs on tumblr, one's an "art appreciation" blog and the other is to help promote unknown electronic artists. Check it. Soundcloud.com/brotard (ignore some of the first few tracks, mostly just testing / experimenting) have-we-all-gone-mad.tumblr.com youjustgotpunched.tumblr.com I'm also in the process of collecting a very specific genre of movies, known as "found footage". Films like [REC], Grave Encounters, Megan is Missing, V/H/S. Currently waiting on V/H/S/2. When I'm not wasting away on my laptop, I enjoy urban exploration, skating down hills, and smoking weed. --- Forum Ghost V2, Test Player, Mapping Artist, Optimist Prime, Server Owner (Hoodrats PK), Quest Writer, Amateur Pixel Artist Curious George
