EO is like a doorstop to some's lives, and an opening to others, to help them realise hobbies, teach them new things.
Some people are stuck, trying to make an amazing server by stealing GFX, etc, and other are learning a new language in programming or getting introduced to it.
It's how you look at it I guess, but this boat has been going for a long time..
Was both for me. I started to do pixel art because of Stava, Hiruru, Cirras, and Devingg showing all their artwork on the forum.
I played EO quite a bit before I found this forum. ---

Always takes a thread like this to bring the oldies (by tenure, not by age, o'course) out of the woodwork, doesn't it?
It's a shame our ship had to sink, but they were fierce seas, and we fought bravely against the odds to no avail. A few of us may have made it out on the lifeboats, returning later to find nay but a few pieces of driftwood, remnants of what once was.
Perhaps one day, we shall build a new ship, not with the foundations of our old one, but its few salvageable pieces will surely comprise the figurehead that will gracefully adorn its bow, a homage to the past, but looking onwards to wherever the seas may carry us.
Or, you know, something along those lines.
That was the cheesiest thing ever.
Thank Ye!
I wasn't exactly going for quality. ---

I miss the days of the original Endless Online. I remember when v28 came out like it was yesterday.
Sometimes I look back on my life, on all of those years I spent on this game and wonder, was it all really worth it?
And I know the answer is yes. Yes, a million times.

The only thing I remember about when v.28 launch is all those people trying to get rid of those aqua hands for like 1m gold. That and fans were worth like 100k for a week. ---

v28 was a while after EO began to "retain water" if you ask me. It had moments of vast popularity long before v28 that was shocking to me at least. You used to have the fight over the ability to connect to the game let alone fight over items.
