I heard used games are a no-no. Which makes me sad. But they might also be rumors. Anyway I have a hunch microsoft will surpass sony this time technology wise, call it a guess, hunch or feeling this statement isnt based on facts.

I could've sworn I read somewhere that Microsoft and Sony both abandoned the DRM restriction so that used games will be playable. Personally I don't really care for either one anyways, ever since the PS2 I've lost interest in consoles. PC gaming is the way of the future.

I haven't kept fully up to date with the rumors so your more then likely right. I don't know about that last statement, something about a controller makes the first person shooter, how do I put this; more entertaining , adaptable and slightly more realistic rather then clicking a mouse.

Currently the DRM for used games being played is still unknown on the xbox. There was an article from kotaku that they had a source that said that Microsoft was unsure if they will allow used games. But it's still not actually confirmed if it will in fact play them. The always online DRM for the xbox is a pretty good chance of being true since they had recently fired someone who worked at Microsoft for saying the world we live in is already always online so deal with it. So we can only assume since he was making such a big deal out of it that is it always online. IGN also showed a leaked document from Kotaku from an anonymous source that the console will be always online, or was planned to be always online. But this could change due to the massive uproar that followed with it.

Aside from that information. There are more rumors speculating that anonymous sources have said that the new xbox will not be focusing on games. And that it will be a family media center. If this is the case they have already lost to SONY. It's all rumors honestly and no one will know for sure until May 21. So should be a good show to watch. Either way, I think ill stick to my PC for games since the next gen consoles are outdated with today's gaming PC's which is a shame really.

The only upside to the new consoles is we will no longer be limited to 10 year old hardware, games can finally move forward. And the new consoles will be using PC X86, 64bit CPU architecture which is a plus for anyone who plays PC games since they will already be compatible on PC's as they make them. Not to mention the games will be 100x easier to code for. So I guess everyone is a winner.

I never liked a controller with FPS games, it seemed too restrictive in movement. IMO the only thing more realistic about a shooter on a console is the fact that the fire button is usually one of the trigger buttons on the back.

Checkout the Oculus Rift. Now there is a new innovation for gaming.

EDIT: Microsoft has just confirmed that the new xbox will in fact be always online and an internet connection is required. If you lose an internet connection during playing a game. After 3 minutes of the lost connection, you will get an internet error requesting you to re connect your internet to continue.
