I'm Canadian and I don't wear shoes in the house. The only time I've known of other Canadians or people of any other culture to do it, if it's on a show or the people are rich/high class.
Oh, and old people. I feel like all the old people wear shoes in the house but it's probably for stability/theraputic/health reasons of some sort.

I and everyone I know takes their shoes off when entering a house if they are planning on staying for a bit.

I'm American. I hate shoes, socks and clothes. If somebody wouldn't throw me in a cage, everyone could see my pecker.

I have wood floors everywhere so I don't see why I shouldn't wear shoes I paid good money to step on that shit. Anyways I hate carpets and that's basically the reason most people remove their shoes in a house, I don't give a shit I'll step into anyone's house with my shoes on any day they're
worth more than a carpet anyways.

Re: I heard Americans wore their shoes inside their houses?
The world is filled with different cultures, every culture has different traditions, ideals, and beliefs in which they live their lives.
For example: When greeting someone in many Latin American countries it is customary to hug or kiss their cheeks, while where I live (Florida) a mere handshake is sufficient.
I don't understand why you would find it strange that someone that lives 1000 miles away from u would have different customs?
