Um. No, we definitely don't. I take mine off the moment I get in the house. Nobody likes shoes.
Unless we're just briefly visiting another persons house and not walking around in it too much, then people tend to leave them on.. ---

Is there something wrong with wearing shoes in the house?
I go outside so much, that if I had to take my shoes off and put them back on every time I would go fucking nuts. Unless my shoes are wet or covered in something, I leave em on.

I live in Canada, but isn't it just plain rude to wear shoes inside someones house or just dirty if its your own?

I always did at my moms house, but now since i live with my dad it's different here. Whenever we walk into the house we take our shoes off at the front door, then if we go out into the backyard we put on our sandals/flip flops etc for outback :P but i don't ever walk in the house with my shoes
on unless it's for a brief minute. ---

What if you have a dog in your house? You take him for a walk, and bring him back. He has the same germs on his feet as you would have on your shoes.
Do you wash your dogs feet every time you bring him in from a walk?

In America it's not common to take your shoes off before entering the house, its not considered a form of respect or an act of being polite. Majority of the people in America that do this, do this to try an prevent germs(dumb if you have a pet, which is why you clean regularly), or try to reduce
scuff marks on wooden floors.

lol, being american has nothing to do with it, I'm Canadian and from the same area you are from. We do what ever, I've been to houses were you can have your shoes on and some that you can't, it's to keep a clean house away from mud and dirt. That is what I'm guessing I never really
paid attention to shoes being on or off in a house before. ---

I believe it's completely a thing of Principle, and respect.
Ofcourse that doesn't mean you intend to show disrespect by leaving your shoes on, (this isn't just a US thing, it's wordwide).
I take my shoes off upon walking in my front door, and before entering another persons house. Maybe it's just me, but I'd wear socks everywhere anyway.

No. I just heard somewhere Americans do, because most of us Canadians don't.
@Ariel I just thought it was because I've never seen anyone here wear shoes in houses, and someone told me Americans do. ---
