It's been brought to my attention that most PK servers build themselves up just to lose there players and turn into nothing. Just look at the SLN, so I'm trying to see if I should continue my pk server or... change it into something longer and something that would have more stuff such as features or more freedom. I've seen big pk servers and small pk servers all fail sense they started, and I'm just having a little bit of second thoughts before I go and add more into my server. I've noticed in pk servers, it's boring for lots and lots of stuff to be in it, it's mostly about making it a bit easy to regain your items after death. Also the bitching after you die etc.

I'd like Eoservs opinions on PK servers so then I can make my decision on making a long and big normal server or a short and difficult pk server. I want to know if there will be people willing to play this (not 1-2 people who pm me asking) I mean real players, is there a big fan base for PK servers? I make servers as hobbies for people to enjoy, if this will only be made for it to fall in the next month like some other servers, then I don't want to do it. so please tell me your opinions on this subject.

Global PK, not deadly, so players won't be sad when they lose their items. About 10k EXP should be gained for a player kill and 20 level anti gank or less depending on the EXP rate.

Safe areas, in villages, inns, tutorial islands, etc.

Tempting but not sure, I do have safe zones and tutorial island stuff.

@Julie I did not say 1 thing about Pkworldz but you're right I did refer to it because even you wanted to create a new server away from Pk types for the fact that they barely get 5-10 players anymore.

@Crime that's exactly what I mean 5-10 players, I'm looking to make an expanded game.

Either way, 5-15* excuse me... I still asked for everyone's opinion, not just what happens to your server.

If you was to shutdown all pkservers and only have 1 running it would have 18 players on right now plus the like 10 who arnt online cause of timezones? 28 Players there? Maybe not all the same time but still that a hell alot of players.

Well that is true, but who is saying they would go to a new server? anyways, reason why I'm posting this topic in the first place is because I've had many people refuse to work with me because it is a PK server, I've also had a few complaints saying they wish my server was not a pk server because it would be funner without it. I had over 50 accounts created and only 5-20 of them stayed for more then 15 minutes. (also because I have no coding experience and the server crashed so much before)

I say give it ago with pk then if it does'nt work out work around it and make it become global pk or just  anormal server?

PK worlds sounds like it should be a bunch more PK servers. I forgot who made a topic long ago about uniting servers but one of the problems was GFX, I'm pretty sure most PK servers only use EOgraphics. The pubs was also a issue too but I'm pretty sure a PK server no one uses al 899 possible pub spots. Instead of combining all servers as a whole it would be cool of PK servers combined.

The one thing that turnt me away from Pk worlds was that starter map. Instead of fixing it, you just told the players to blame Culio.
