Public request to Sausage: Topic Editting/ Updating
To Sausage,
I have come up with a simple idea which I believe both I and the community would benefit greatly from. I recently created an advertisement 'The Ascent', I like to update it frequently with my progress, and thus it's almost pointless as no one
knows you've updated it (unless they keep coming back to check every time they're browsing the forum). I don't know how simple of a task this would be for you to carry out, but in the 'Recent Actions' section I believe that if it came up with 'User Edited a topic
Topic in Section' just as it does when someone replies, creates or when administrators delete/locks a topic. This would be most helpful.
I made this a public message because I would like people to see the idea, and to hear what they think. If for you Sausage the task is simple, and/or you like the idea as well as others; then I believe the community would benefit from
this.
Best regards,
- Luke

I think this is a very good idea, Cause when You make a advertisement as you stated People don't go checking it unless it is on recent actions list so yes, if you edit it i think it should go onto recent action list that's a great idea.

This should probably be in the bugs section under feature requests for eoserv.net. Just a suggestion though, its not technically in the wrong place here, but sausage would probably see if there since this would eventually just be bumped down the recent actions list here later on. Also, it would
be nice if there were an option to show that you edited the topic on the recent actions list since sometimes I only edit my topics to fix errors.

Horrible choice in font - but nice idea. I'd like to see something like this. Or at least a revision index next to posts that show how many times a user has edited it.
+1. Hope he reads it. ---

Some people like to swoop in and edit their mistakes before anyone sees them... I for one do my proof reading after writing what I've written. ---

It would also be nice to be able to post on a topic again even though you were the last poster. Have it wait 30 minutes before letting you post again or until someone else replies. That could also be used for the editing so the recent action list isn't spammed with edits.

I suggest just commenting on the topic to say you edited it. People will see that on recent actions. ---

Almost every post on the forum is followed by between 1 and 3 edits to fix it up. In fact, you edited this topic 3 times within 4 minutes of it being posted. If you want someone to follow your updates, make a twitter or a blog or something.
