Re: private servers don't cut it
| Private servers that are any good honestly take a lot of a persons time. Which is why I avoid creating one since someone with my goal has already made a successful server. =P So I spend my time doing other things and then go play the server when I feel like it. =o loll But if someone has a thing
that isn't present as a server and it's a good idea go with it. =P

Let's be honest here, EOSERV is a nice little taste of C++ and it gives people the chance to build a small scale almost-rpg game. No server based on EO will sustain very many player. None to date have held over 100 players 24/7. So this comes down to giving you some basic tools that you might learn from to one day produce your own "real" mmorpg project, or at the very least maybe even produce your own game. There is no reason to get bent out of shape whining about "all these server bore me". That's a load of crap. You might have ADD or something. I have seen plenty of people willing to level grind, spend hours crafting items, or even just standing idle chatting. If you don't fit into any of these groups then EO based servers are not for you. No need to sugar coat it or expect incredible concepts to appear. The client is very limited and most hack-ins people come up with seem to be gimmicks that really don't add much to the overall product.
