| ![]() It'd be so pointless in buying a gaming laptop because of its lack of battery life. It'd seriously only last 2 hours or less. --- The good times are killing me.

| ![]() Why does it need to be an I7? An I7 is hardly any better then an I5 when it comes to gaming. The price for the performance is hardly worth it unless you plan to do more then just game. Such as video rendering etc. Games dont use things such as hyper threading that you pay that extra money for. As far as a CPU goes an I5 would do just fine, a 2.5 GHZ CPU with 6MB cache should be perfect for todays games. As for the graphics card. Laptops are pricey when it comes to GPU's. The GTX XXXM's are more picey for laptops then their big brothers that go into desktops. Not entirely sure as to why but they are. You can get a fairly decent laptop that plays games fairly well with an I5 2.5GHZ chip and an Nvidia 540 1-2GB dedicated GPU for little under 1000 dollars. You could maybe get a GTX 560M for little over 1000 if you look enough. But for what you wanted you wont be able to find something like that for under 1000 anytime soon. Maybe used if you can find one. A useful tip is to find a site that sells computers as an open box. These are computers that are brand new but for whatever reason the box is now opened, no longer factory sealed. Might have been one they used to make a video for their site to demonstrate or it might have accidentally got open when it arrived to their factory. Regardless of how they were open they are still brand new. Sites such as newegg.com or .ca if you live in Canada provide such open box purchases. They are usually always well worth the price considering they are 30% off and as high as 70% off the original price. They actually have some really nice laptops for real cheap right now. http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&N=100006740%204809&IsNodeId=1&name=Open%20Box This is a very nice deal. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834230408R --- "Everyone is a retard until they prove themselves otherwise."
