Good gaming laptop

I have been looking around for a good gaming laptop, but they are way over priced. I seen a i7 with a gtx 660 for 4k... that's a crazy price, but it was an Alienware so it's obviously way over priced. Anyway's I am getting lazy looking for a good laptop for a good price, because there is none.

What I am looking for is:

- i7 with atleast 2.6 ghz

- Atleast has a ssd

- A gtx 660 or better

- 1080p

- under 1000$

I don't know much about laptops, but if it's possible to build one than please link me to a website where they sell all the component's. Also thank you.

What do you think a laptop for these specifications would go for? I couldn't see it going over 1.5k.

A desktop will always be cheaper and more powerful than a laptop will be. I'd seriously recommend getting a desktop instead of a laptop.

I honestly agree with you, but it would just be nice to have a laptop while traveling.

I also made a topic about my build, but sadly I lost the video.

It's very possible to get portable towers, granted you would go through the hassle of replugging them in each time. But for what you asked for, if you built it yourself you might be able to get it under 1.5k but highly doubt it.

That could do pretty well, it's not a beast or anything, but it can handle new games medium-high settings pretty well.

Having a SSD shoots prices of the charts pretty easily, even 16GB SSD raises prices 50-100$ which is kinda ridiculous.

That's pretty much the best you can get for 1000$. Also I do not know what shops USA people tends to use, so I used Amazon to search up something, which might work well for you.

But I kinda agree with misca, you could get better portable gaming setup, if you go for Mini-Tower build.

That laptop could run crisis 3 easily on high and I was actually looking at that laptop a few minuets ago. I am kind of stuck between that and this one. Also I am from Canada, so amazon usually has ridiculousness shipping prices for us.

Also building a mini rig would be a really good idea, but I could just carry around one I have now. I honestly don't care about money, so I am fine spending 1k on a laptop.

If going for 1.5k~ isn't too much I would take this: http://www.asus.com/ROG/G75VX/

But either one of those is fine imo.

Your best bet is to buy the parts separately for a gaming computer, it's cheap than buying the computer itself and computers will be 100 times better

Look at my response to syran. :P

@miksu

That looks really cool and the specs are really good for the price, but it is little over kill for my liking. The look of it though is really tempting me to get it and the trailer.

Welcome to the forums and that laptop is awesome and super cheap compared to others I seen. It is even better than some I seen for 1k. Thanks.
