I downloaded Aureus Online, and after installing it, it came up as a white box. I had this problem before with Santcum of Beasts but I was able to drag and switch the gfx, pubs, etc. into a .zip filed Endless Online. I think it's because you have windows 8 ( I think ) I've seen other people have this problem that had windows 8

So certain Private Servers are compatible with Windows 8? Could that be fixed?

I honestly think it's the client, not the server itself.

It's your Norton Antivirus that's interfering with the client. Uninstall all Norton products that may be on your PC and you'll be fine.

I have been using windows 8 for 7 months already and I can assure that I have never had any problems with any EO client, Besiedes fullscreen, which sometimes f***s up even on W7 or Vista.

Tip: Run it on window mode, without intro part.

So in config.ini set:

Fullscreen=off
Skipintro=on

and it should work without any problems.

Edit: I should read the open post first. ;D

EO client acts up so easily and is very unstable under w8/w7, but I never had white screen (besiedes on the client which has been F'd up by putting GFX in wrong way.)

The EO client works fine under Win7 and Win8. Try not installing it to Program Files, or remove the protection on that folder. If I had to guess I would blame the program that made the installer.

Uninstall stupid norton anti virus and problem will go away. Norton for some reason blocks the client from loading properly sometimes adding it as an exception can work but hey Norton is shit so get rid of it.

I find the best configuration for win 7 is to set compat mode for win 98 SE, and to disable visual themes in the same menu, also due to the graphics increased use on p-servers I find these options in the setup.ini of client help stability.

Pageflipping=off

BlockTransfer=on

StaticSprites=on

StaticObjects=on

StaticTiles=on
