Just wanna say that you didn't waste a moment working on these files, because it's something you enjoy doing, so you enjoyed the time spent on it therefor the time was spent right.. Even if it didn't turn into something, count it as just another step toward your success. :)

I you bro !

I'm sad at the fact that you lost all your files. I really am, but because of this doesn't mean you should stop pixelling. Pixelling was a love that you had and you did it a lot. I could see that. Just because you lost all your work doesn't mean that you should just stop and leave. That's rage quitting, in my eyes, and nobody likes a rage-quitter.

The best example to me is a merchanter, on an EO game. You work for so long to get to the point where you have so much... and then suddenly you lose it all, because you were scammed or you junked it by mistake. Now you're leaving the game. What's the point? All you need to do is work hard to gain your stuff again.

This is similar. As I said, you loved pixelling. Because you simply lost your files, doesn't mean you should just... stop. You got to keep going, try hard and you will get your projects done or started up again. By just quitting.. you're letting so many people down, but mainly yourself. If you work hard and get to the point you were at... you will be proud of yourself. I know you will.

Your words..make me look at myself and where i am, and who i am..ive quit on so many things growing up, i don't wanna add more to that list .so i wont quit pixeling but it wont be very soon that i start again.
But i promise this wont be the end of my pixeling..just another chapter or period of time that i will be taking a break. So wait for my return and arrival as i will most likely be bearing gifts <3

Aw, shit. That really sucks. I'm glad you're going to continue pixeling, it would be a shame to let your talent go to waste.

Why didnt you make sure the files were even uploaded before assuming so? Also why didn't you use something better like Drop Box? Or maybe a DVD or flash drive. So many things could have worked better...

1. Stop using disk on which you have "lost" projects.
2. Get another hard disk drive.
3. Run photorec (free app) from any LiveCD/LiveUSB, mentioned on following list:
http://www.cgsecurity.org/wiki/TestDisk_Livecd
and save rescued files on "fresh" hdd.
4. Follow instructions available on screen, wait certain amount of hours for completion of recovery process and enjoy getting your "lost projects"

For me it worked like a charm; it saved my ass many times; I believe that you'll recover almost all of your work. Good luck!

EDIT: You can install photorec on your current system and attach HDD or a pendrive, but you risk of not recovering all of your files. If you don't want to spent time on trying to figure how to use live usb/cd distros, you can just launch photorec now and, insert pendrive or attach external HDD and run recovery process.

Because i did not have the chance to, my computer would turn off before i could actually do anything..and i did not have a cd or flashdrive available..but like i said i have excepted what happen, i mean shit happens.
Ill over come this..and will start new and more improved projects. Skydrive always worked before and i know it somewhat worked because it saved all of my school work..
Anyways its all in the past, maybe ill try and start some of my projects over..then again maybe i will just make new ones..
-Regards Mat

Edit:

Shricky, Thank you for your post, but i do not have the resources to get another HDD.
I will attempt this if i can manage to find a HDD lying around.
