I don't think he did. But it's on his website, and you can't change the IP or anything. I think it's just for his server thing. It's pretty cool.

What if I say I tried to disassemble it and was successful?
means I got the source code

I'd cry.

So, Start crying. I got it.
Please tell me you never plan on releasing such info. :l

I plan to make my own client based on the current and the future releases of his client. (and logically I'll add disassembler protection)

Prove to me that you've disassembled my obfuscated copy and I'll believe you. Until then I say you're full of shit. The first public version could be disassembled using .NET Reflector, the second release required modifying the program and then using .NET Reflector. The current versions have been impossible to crack open using .NET Reflector and even the copies that did get cracked open it don't give you the exact compilable source code. It would require piecing the source together by hand which most of you kiddies don't have the skills nor patience for.

Its not like its any good learning material for a clone since it has its own server. I dont know if you changed the packet encoding at all but if you did it wouldn't let him use it on regular servers so, no clone. Disassembled code isn't worth fixing up anyway.

Yeah, it's just pathetic that some people have to stoop to a level of stealing others hard work, rather than not being such a noob and learning how to make their own piece of work. I've spent countless hours working on this and had intentions of letting it benefit the eoserv community in the end, but people like Doug keep coming along and trying to fuck it up for everyone. He made his intentions plain and clear. He intended on continuing to "STEAL" my work and eventually claim it as his own in the end after I've put all of my hard effort into completing it. It would be a different story if it were to benefit securing the project against further exploiting, but no he wants to be a douche about it instead. Why don't you help ensure it's secure then? Rather, than trying to push the project into the ground essentially. Clearly you managed to get around the obfuscation, so I could use your testing to get it to the point of being secure. Otherwise, there is no point in continuing the project, because in the end it'll always be exploitable. Which will make it pointless for anyone to create a client for their server based on it, when it can just be cracked open and exploited.

This is the second time my source code has been violated and to be honest I'm just done with it...It's not worth me wasting my time to benefit everyone else just to have someone else try to ruin it for everyone.

It's not like he released it as a free-to-use on the forums and taking credit from it. All he did was get the source code, which seems perfectly fine to me...

He made his intentions plain and clear. He intended on continuing to "STEAL" my work and eventually claim it as his own in the end after I've put all of my hard effort into completing it. It would be a different story if it were to benefit securing the project against further exploiting, but no he wants to be a douche about it instead. Therefore, in the process he ruins the chance of the client being completed and released open-source to this community.

Don't stop... Dont... stop... DONT STOP BELIEVIN' HOLD ON TO THE FEELIN'.. EVEN MORE OFF TOPIC: Anyways how's the webclient going? You still workin on that?

Shushhhh xD that client has been private since the start, but nah that one has been on hold since I resumed development on the ES EO Client. However, that one will be completed eventually as it'll expand our game once it's to that point.

X_X Didn't realize you haven't announced it.. lol My badddddd.
