Skype is not a fucking "upgrade" from MSN. Both software is bloated, and I won't have either, but I'd rather have a client that didn't focus on "LOL I CAN CALL PEOPLE", because, well, we have fucking telephones.

There are numerous alternatives to Microsoft's bull shit bloated software full of spam and idiots. Oh, and these alternatives even sign into Yahoo, AIM, and other protocols, some of which come with an official client that's better than MicroShit's software.

Microsoft said they will be retiring msn on March 15, 2013 and told users to migrate to Skype. People aren't doing saying it just for the hell of it.

I prefer Skype over MSN personally. If they didn't offer the account merge, I would never have touched MSN again. My communication medium of choice is Ventrilo though, I very much prefer open voice chats over an IM or video chat.
