Re: Xmas Help *Laptop*
What will it be used for? Because it isn't bad but the RAM is very low and windows 7 will suck up a big chunk of that 1gb.

I would recommend the Google Chrome Book, www.google.com/chromebook . It's a good computer for starting prices at $200USD and it runs the new Google OS.

That sounds more like a NetBook than a Laptop. I don't recommend NetBooks, at all, unless you're a generic facebook using moron.
I also recommend staying away from Web Based OS/Laptops like the ChromeBook...

I'll tell you right now that Minecraft is not going to run very well with 1gig of ram. It is a netbook because the resolution is 1024x600. I guarantee that the integrated graphics will be an Intel chip and will not run it very well. It also has processing speed of 1.6ghz.. ---

Personally i'd get a desktop there easy to upgrade and are cheap as hell (Both of mine was under £200 each). But if you need a laptop get ready to pay for the ability to run Minecraft. You'll have to search gaming laptops and see what's in your budget

Well if you look at the system requirements:
- RuneScape: 512MB RAM, 1 GHz CPU, 128MB 3D graphics card
- RuneScape HD: 2GB RAM, 2 GHz CPU
So you could play it on low graphics depending if that laptop supports 3D (Which it should)

I was running MineCraft a year ago, not sure if I had 512MB or not. Worked pleasantly on low, and ALMOST fair on high settings. 1Ghz CPU I believe. ---

MineCraft'll load, but I think it's freezing due to low ram. ---

Well mine has 4GB RAM and my gaming PC has 6GB RAM on the windows rating my graphic card is rated 2.1 (lol)
But i doubt he can find a new laptop for under £200 that will run Minecraft sweet as i've learnt in life cheaper isn't always better :)
