Computer problems Help?
Today I turned on my computer and it was going fine but when I logged into an account it started with a blue screen it took longer than usual to load everything on the computer. When i tried to go on the internet it didn't work so I went and checked if I was connected to the internet and when I
clicked on the "Connect to" button it said "Windows could not find any networks" which is strange because I know theres alot of networks in range. So I did a system restore to try and fix the problem everything went well and the computer started up and I logged into the administrator account there
was no blue screen this time and everything loaded normally but the next time I restarted the computer the problem happened again where windows could not find any networks and when i log in it starts with a blue screen. Any help? ---

start -> right click my computer -> manage -> device manager.
make sure you have a wireless network driver installed. and if you do most computers have a network on off switch, make sure you didn't accidentally hit that

Wouldn't explain the long loading time / blue screen well loading ect.
Have you done any scans with any kind of ant-virus/spyware/trojan software?
Any new programs installed that might bog down the computer?? ---

More than Likely, your BIOS has been changed
Reset your BIOS settings manually during system startup, (or) take out the battery from your motherboard, and put it back in, then reboot your system. Everything will be set to default, and most likely will solve your problem. ---

Re: Computer problems Help?
Actually a failed device explains a blue screen during boot perfectly. AFAIK, Windows blue screens if it fails to load required device drivers. The fact that you couldn't connect to any networks after logging in supports this further. I'd check your networking hardware to make sure its working
properly and replace it as needed since that is most likely what the problem is.
BTW a system restore will undo updates, but if you install the updates that broke your computer after restoring, then its basically as if the system restore was undone. Windows might be updating your networking drivers through Windows Update and that could be breaking your computer.

Re: Computer problems Help?
So I was setting up a low-end gaming desktop, right? Let me tell you my story of how awesome it was. I had Windows XP on it because I hadn't pirated 7 yet to try it. Well, no sound drivers for the on-board sound card. I went hunting for them and only found ones that caused BSOD (THANKS TO THE
INVALID CARD ID). I then went to Windows Vista Evaluation version, just to see if I could. Still no sound, but fuck it, who cares. I finally pirated Windows 7 and immediately started installing. STILL NO SOUND. Now here's where it gets interesting. I borrow my Wi-Fi most of the time. I use my
adapter and extension cables as an antenna. I networked my laptop and desktop via ethernet and I actually shared the internet between the two. Windows updated itself and I finally had sound, no more BSOD either.

Re: Computer problems Help?
Back to the original post. Can you connect to the internet in safe mode with networking? If so, there are three probable causes. The first could be a conflicting device driver. In this case use the device manager to update the network card drivers. The second, and less likely, would be the power supply going bad. A blue screen can occur when the pc doesn't have enough power to support all devices. The last case would simply be the network adapter has gone bad. This is pretty rare, but any technology can fail given the right circumstances. Check these things and maybe you can pinpoint the problem. One other thing. If you select the option to not restart Windows when errors occur you may be able to get the error code the blue screen shows and google that shit. That can be selected on the same menu as safe mode (F8).
