hey guys, so i made my own hats etc. i am just wondering do i have to put the hat on a sprite sheet before i can use this item in the game?


also the big question is how do i add the hat to the game so i am able to wear it?
i know about saving gfx file and stuff

but the pub edit im not so sure about

I'm being not being a smart ass, it's simple people should use the search bar instead of posting the same question over and over.

Reshacker guide

For the pubs; download renas pub editor which you can find here, then use that to edit the pubs.

It took me less then 2 minutes to get all that for you, using the amazing search bar :)

 i found like 50 guides... but they dont answere my damned question that's what im trying to say. -_-

and that guide you have supplied is VERY hard for me to understand. its too close together

They don't go on sprite sheets, they go separately in the gfx file for hats (#15-16 One being female and the other being male.). I think its 3 images all together for hats. Also, you'll need to add the item icon for it too. That would go in gfx #23

thanks thats great :) thats what i wanted to know +1

also if you were to shade a paper bag how would you do it, i have studied shading guides but im bit stumped on this one:
you can use this to show me how its done:



can someone please take this, and give it a paper bag effect? its not doing the work for me but if i see the way its done ill be able to do it myself thanks :D

I've never really pixeled much myself, but when it comes to shading, I usually imagine where the light will be shining in from and mark parts where it would be sticking out at then make it lighter on the parts facing towards the light, then make the other sides of them darker. Not sure if my explanation is understandable, I've never been too good at describing things.

hehe its ok. i'm not sure how to shade a paper bag in the inventory view is all. not sure if to dither or theres some other way to shade it

its ok thanks though for all the help. its quite hard to know how a paper bag is shaded, youd think its easy wouldnt you lol
