I always see screen shots around eoserv with people using Vista and XP. Vista is complete shit, and XP is now going on 12 years old and is pretty outdated. Its made me curious: what OS do you use, and is it a matter of choice or are you just stuck because MS charges insane amounts of money for their OSes?

I was on Win7 until Win8 came out. I got Win7 for $15 through my school and Win8 for free as a download from DreamSpark. Yes, I'm using Win8 on a desktop with 3 monitors, and the start screen isn't completely horrible once you get used to it.

I am using windows 7. I kind of want to switch to 8, but decided not to since its not really worth it in my opinion.

I also use Windows 7. The way I see it, my current OS works perfectly fine so there's no need for me to waste money on a new one. :P

Windows 7, because that's what's slapped on this laptop. It does the job...but whatever, no big deal.

There's nothing wrong with Windows XP. Install it on newer hardware (designed for Windows Vista/7 diet), and it's like it's on steroids.

Too many flavors of Linux to choose a favorite.

I use Win7 and Win8. Nothing wrong with Win8 but a learning curve to navigate. Win7 does have a prettier desktop. 

Windows 7, w8 is too squarish for me. Seems all applications update their design to windows 8 as well.
