Post #172664 Not sure where to post- Verizon port forward need help

I cant seem to figure out how to port forward with verizon router. Im not sure where I should be posting this topic but if anyone could link me to a tutorial specified for verizon routers or can give me a step list of how to do it with verizon that would be great. If anyone needs any more information to help me, please post and i will reply back as soon as i can.

Thanks- Alex

After following all the instructions on the page that you linked me to, it seemed to work, until i did a port checker and it failed again. After completing the instructions i I went into my router and did another port forward using the ip address that the guide said to put into the properties.

Pick an ip address and enter it into the IP Address box. The ip address you choose should be very similar to the router's ip addres. Only the last number of the ip address should be different. If the router's ip address is 192.168.1.1, I might choose 192.168.1.10

After porforwarding using the ip i put the port check still failed. I dont know what to do if anyone else can help me that would be great.

PS: Im srry for making a topic about something that was in the wiki but I havnt been around these fourms in so long and im not really sure how to do anything other than forum search and I couldnt find anything through that so i figured id just make a post.

Thanks - Alex

This worked on my Verizon Fios router.
It automatically PFW your specified port. It should then work, but if it doesn't work that means you don't have UPNP enabled.
