I havent mapped in a while, so the soultion might be simple, but there are black tiles on my map that wont let me place a ground tile over them.

Edit: And no, they are not outside of the coordinates lol.

At first I was like....... *Facepalm* Than I read your edit, but I never heard of this problem before. Good luck with getting it fixed. Also I think it would help if you mentioned what version you are using.

You probably have the edge tiles on those spots. Go to special tiles and check.

Well I am using version 0.3.0 Alpha which I believe is the newest.

And the funny thing about the edge tiles is, there were some edge tiles beside it that I noticed and fixed those before I posted this topic.

So there are no special tiles at all and it is still black squares.

Isnt it 0.3.1b ?

I have 1 map that has these irregular black squares on them, im not sure if your getting the same thing, but i have never been able to remove them, only solution would be to change the map properties till they are small enough to take out the black squares, and then put back to its original size and remap what is missing.

take a chance and open it with rena's map editor. you might find two ground tiles on the same x and y.

i had a problem like this. i could'nt remove the tile. but the editor let me replace it with a new one.

Fixed It!

I downloaded 3.1b, it didnt do anything.

Tried Rena's, still no fix.

Luckily the black tiles were close to edges of my map so I didnt have to replace much when I did fix it by editing the coordinates.

Thanks all, and if you do figure out a easier way to fix this dont hesitate to post it on here. :)
