My gaming PC cost around $1400 and the mapeditor still crashes. I'm running Windows 7, and I don't know what the problem is.

I know all of us are not going to agree on which brand you should buy, but if you want something that will last 4-5 years easily you are looking at at least $300 (Too lazy to euro conversion)

If you are thinking of doing hardcore gaming such as WoW, Halo, AC, CoD, etc. you would easily add another $200 to $400 to that.

Wow isn't really hard core gaming o.o even a decent desktop (8gbs of ddr3 ram, amd phenom xII quad core 925 @ 2.8ghz, and ati radeon 6570hd 1gb. ) runs wow at 130fps on ultra with verticle sync turned off. =3
You do realize thats about $600 + right? When I said hard core I was referring to taking up a lot of Ram, have to have a good graphic card, etc.

Mmm only pushed me about 500$, and I'm saying even with a 300-400$ laptop it could do most gaming as most pcs feature at least a i3 you just have to mainly pay for the graphic card upgrade.

If you go refurbished it's a lot cheaper >>> http://www.walmart.com/ip/HP-Refurbished-17.3-Pavilion-g7-1338dx-Laptop-PC-with-Intel-Core-i3-2350M-Processor-and-Windows-7-Home-Premium/21675337  for 388$ with a decent everything lol.

I just got a brand new Toshiba Satellite off of bestbuy for $400 bucks, and it has pretty decent specs. It's a pretty good deal and it's a pretty decent laptop all around too. I've had it for 2 days now and it's been good for what I do: download/play games, movies, applications etc, and it has windows 8. ;) I don't know if that's a good thing or not, but it's pretty neat and it has a big screen 17.3". Here's the link to the website if you want to look at it, it's on sale right now.

Some of the specs on it are 500gb Hard Drive, 4gb of memory, Intel Core i3 Processor, and Intel HD graphics, but I would suggest just looking at it on the website.

Basically what I bought a year ago except it has a smaller screen and doesn't have Win 8. Has all of the exact same specs except for my graphic card and ram being slightly better, but not by much. I'm not worried about Win 8 though, I've heard a lot of complaints about it, and in a few months I can upgrade for free if I choose to.

Also, gj tails. He logged out =P

Yeah the ram can be upgraded up to 16gb. xD I might upgrade it later and I think the graphics card is fine for what I use it for. Do you remember how much yours was?

And yeah there are some downfalls to windows 8, but its more clean than windows 7, I like things being very simple and clean. It's pretty much the same except for the look, and the start menu. If you've ever seen a windows phone that's pretty much what the start menu is like(downloading apps from the store and stuff too), but you can still go to the desktop and use it like a normal computer.

Mine was $500 last year and it was $50 off when I got it. If I bothered to open it I could easily upgrade everything with spare parts I have around but I'm not gonna risk the warranty over that.

I prefer a desktop computer over laptop, but I would also like having both so I can go anywhere with my laptop...... if you only need a computer at home you can get an expensive desktop computer like me, mine was $1000 with the monitor.

I have an Asus desktop computer. I bought it for £369 without the monitor.

  • 3.3GHz Intel Core i3-2120 Dual-Core
  • 4GB of DDR3 RAM
  • 1TB Hard Drive (5400rpm)
  • Integrated Intel HD Graphics
  • HDMI + VGA
  • SuperMulti DVD Burner
  • 6-in-1 Media Card Reader
  • 10/100/1000Mbps Gigabit Ethernet
  • Included USB Keyboard and Mouse
  • Windows 7 Home Premium (64-bit)

But yeah, whatever you do, don't get an Apple computer.

so i spent £6.20 for a return to town, i get there and i search all day for a laptop. i bring 130 pounds with me, because there are some shops that sell laptops cheap, i have seen loads in those shops last time i went there. i spent 5 and a half hours searching around different shops and none of them had laptops. i finally found a cheap one for 129.99 but only problem is, is that it would of been a downgrade from mine.

so i rushed back to the bus to go back to the town i live in, there is one laptop shop there and has a better laptop than mine for 120-150. so i get there just before it closes and i find out hes sold completely out.

ahhhhhhhhh lol
