Well i didnt really know where to post this so heres the problem.

I've got windows 7, cracked version my cousin asked me to put it on her laptop because she forgot the password so i wiped her windows off and went to put it on put the pc name in etc and then it just stopped and it came up with ERROR in a CMD window but in big letters, so i fromated the drive and now when it tries to expand windows it just gets stuck on 'Expanding Windows Files (0%) .. and keeps flashing, ive downloaded a couple different copies of windows from KAT.PH they normally all work but it just won't, im not too sure why it wont work any ideas?

I don't have an operating system on the Laptop at the moment so i can't boot it up but i do have my laptop here.

I suggest buying a copy of windows 7 then wipe her computer again then use the "Real" copy on her computer.

I would also suggest buying a legit copy of it, but can you get into the computer at all? Like the files? If not than the only thing I can tell you is try to get someone you know and unplug the internet on the laptop and put in a disk to download a different operating system and make sure its offline so it wont check the serial key if its in use. and when you get into the computer install the cracked version again.

Yeah Colby is correct. I once had the same problem with my laptop. I had a friend of mines install a fresh copy of windows 7 using a CD that came with his laptop. Also Ryan. Don't mind hitsource. He tries too hard to fit in. Sorrt hitsource....its true. This is lounge so if he needs help with something unrelated to eoserv, then this is the place where he can and should post it. Anyway hope that helps you.

I was not trying to be a smart ass I was trying to help you if you took the time to read the first part..

I said it was "irrelevant" Because I felt it was, posting that on a site about "Endless Online" not "My sister's computers Problems", then again I don't care what you post I was only trying to help you out.

Hitsource Just shut the fuck up already, This site if full of shit that doesn't fit the "Endless Online" category or theme or that is "irrelevant".

Ryan, I suggest buying a real copy as someone stated before, It sounds like the cracked version you have could be corrupted or just simply not working in the way needed. Therefor i would just go with a real version because at least then you know everything will work correctly.

Google for something called Killdisk-BOOT.ISO download and mount this image to a disk or flash drive. Boot into it and do a full format with it. This will completely clean and wipe the entire hard drive as if it was brand new and was never used before. Your hard drive might have some bad files on it, and the windows default format sucks so bad i'll never use it. Once killdisk erases your drive do a fresh windows install. Also just a note, some windows ISO images people put up on torrent sites contain viruses already in them. Or other malware. I would recommend reading the comments and see what everyone else is saying about the image before downloading and mounting it to a disk. Your looking for a clean windows 7 disk. I am not going to tell you how to properly crack windows 7 since well, it's illegal and i'm not promoting it. But I do see why people do it. Windows is not cheap after all.
